JOIN US to

help us PLACE LANGUAGE IN THE CENTRE OF EDUCATION,

expand our INTERNATIONAL CIRCLE,

contribute to ERL MEMBERS’ PUBLICATIONS, and

develop various international ERL PROJECTS or  ERL INITIATIVES.

 

The WHY of ERL Group. ERL Group brings together different entities sharing one fundamental premise that language merits a special position in educational systems across the globe (as shown by the graphic with ERL Premises). It fosters cooperation between various groups/units that share this ambition although they tend to give it different names (incl. language-driven education, langauge sensitive education, etc.).  By joining our conceptual forces, we can achieve much more much faster.  

The HOW of ERL Group. To prioritise language, we are building conceptual ERL conceptual BANK covering: ARGUMENTS: justification, evidence, policies, reference; SETTINGS: disciplines, contexts, intersections, places; IMPLEMENTATIONS: methods, practices, strategies, resources; VISIONS: ideas, alternatives, projections, perspectives

The WHO of ERL Group. We seek (collective, institutional) Partners working on the intersection of education and language. We welcome associationssocietiesschools, and other educational establishments. ERL GROUP is supported by academics from scientific ERL Association, sharing our premises. Hoping to create ERL Centres around the globe, we seek national representatives.

The WHAT of ERL Group. To systematise educational issues determined by language, ERL GROUP recognises: Scope Major:  how language relates to schoolingculturemethodology, and personality; Scope Minor: how language relates to beliefsaffectactions, and thinking. Accordingly, ERL GROUP has a strongly international and interdisciplinary character.
